Congratulations to Uba Charles on his first professional contract!!
Uba is an 18-year-old talent from Nigeria who in 2019 joined Idol Football Academy and attended the November Showcase. Uba did well in the Trial matches against VSK (U19), AFC (U21) and IFK Eskilstuna.
Despite significant interest from several clubs, it was impossible to sign him due to the FIFA rules for underage players and Uba was forced to return to his native Nigeria.
Shortly after that, Corona times came, and the pandemic travel restrictions stopped all Football activities and events.
But Uba never gave up and continued to train hard with his parent club Clinton FC's academy in Abuja.
All of that hard work paid off and now Uba Charles has signed a contract with FC Linköping City and has a great chance to develop his game in Sweden.
At Sport & Event Management and Idol Football Academy we are happy and proud of Uba Charles and wish him and FC Linköping City good luck in the upcoming match against Österlen FF, on Saturday 1 May at 16:00 at Linköping Arena.
