New Transfer Window for Sweden!

Exciting news from FIFA and Swedish FA!

With Bundesliga resumption underway and other leagues around the world preparing for the return of football, FIFA granted the Swedish FA the opportunity to open an extra transfer window. "After careful consideration, FIFA has now given notice and granted SvFF to open a two-week transfer window in addition to the regular transfer periods," Swedish FA announced on its website.

In order to open a new transfer window, the union must change the Representation provisions for how it is to be implemented. During Thursday evening, the Federal Board will meet to discuss the issue. The proposed dates for this extra transfer period are from May 31 to June 13.

The ambition is to start Allsvenskan in June, with a final announcement rom the Public Health Authority expected on Friday.
